Traditionally, logistics
is the part of a company that manages the movement of goods, products, supplies
or services from point of origin to point of consumption. It encompasses
procurement, production, distribution, and disposal. Logistics is about developing
processes that increase productivity and save money. Of course it is a lot more
than just that, and a specific concept of logistics will vary from company to
company.
